Frank Dane
Chief Legal & Financial Officer

Mr. Dane joined the Company in 1988 as Vice President-Finance, evolved through increasing levels of both financial and legal responsibilities and was named Chief Financial and Chief Legal Officer in 2001.

Mr. Dane has played a key role in financing the Company’s operations, including leading private equity placements and debt restructuring, leading public security offerings, securing government grants for research and development, negotiating agreements that resulted in multi-million dollar advanced royalty payments, leading two successful legal efforts to protect the Company’s intellectual property, consummating a joint venture in China and in the acquisition of PenOp.

Prior to joining the Company Mr. Dane spent over a decade with Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). His final position with that firm was as Senior Manager of the Entrepreneurial Services Division of its Silicon Valley Office in San Jose, California. Mr. Dane is a member of the State Bar of California and has been a certified public accountant in the states of California and Connecticut.
